There is very little information available online about this company but it does appear most of their chairs were of unusual designs.
From what I've been able to find, value is probably between $75-$150 but that is just guessing as I have not seen a similar chair listed for sale or sold but from reading about Indianapolis
Chair items none are appraised at more than $200 and none actually sold at any amount. Perhaps someone else will have better luck.

Some interesting articles that I did find was a wholesale sales catalog dated February 17, 1890 and some pictures of neat chairs.

Some numbers are listed so you might check to see if your chair number is listed.
Links may be a little difficult to enlarge so text is readable but keep trying as I found a way to enlarge all pictures.

Sorry, I did mean to add some links to antique chair forums that may be able to help you more with dates and information.

My suggestion is to start with the Indiana Museum at indianamuseum.org. 317-232-1637 and see if it is something they would be interested in having in their collection or to buy for their collection.

This is often called a Throne Style chair. Yours has a craftsman look to it which would be best guesses put it in the range of 1860-1930. I would have to dig deeper in the company history to fit their time frame over the chairs to maybe get a better date.

There is not a whole lot out there about the company, but I did find this interesting booklet (which sadly did not have your chair it it, but it was worth sharing anyway because it is so cool!

Here is an article about the history of this company and how it started. it is very interesting and you can get an idea about the furniture they make and how long they have been in business. It appears that the company had a manufacturing company in San Francisco and was one of the leading houses for furniture. cdnc.ucr.edu/?a=d&d=PRP18810312.2.58&e=-------en...

I would actually get an appraisal on the chair before doing much more. Here is a site that can give you an appraisal online and also the history of the chair. You will need to register with the company first. instappraisal.com/.../indianapolis-chair-manufacturing....

I am not finding any chairs of this style listed for sale online. I did find a rocking chair that they had listed for $100 and where they went online and had it appraised.

Your best bet is to get this appraised first to help you determine the value of the chair. The history of the company is very interesting and the furniture they make is made from high-quality wood.

I couldnt find an exact match for your chair, but I can tell you exactly what to do with it to maximize the value, and where to go to get the most accurate, FREE, appraisal! Whatever you do, DO NOT USE ANY CLEANERS OR WOOD POLISHES ON IT. NO REFINISHING OF ANY KIND. IT WILL ALWAYS GREATLY REDUCE A PIECE OF ANTIQUE FURNITUREs VALUE. I know it sounds crazy but I promise its a true story. Next, look up Heritage Auctions, based out of Dallas, TX, and one of the largest most reputable auction houses in the world.

You can get free appraisals on legit items online. You will be required to set up a free account with them first, but then you can send them a few clear pics of your chair, making sure that makers mark is easily read, and they will get back to you within a few days usually with an accurate value.

After digging, this style of chair is called a Madames Chair. This chair produced by Indianapolis Chair Company. This chair was created in several styles , with back and backless but often rounded seat.
