Donating Toys to Local Christmas Charities?

Starting tomorrow 11/14/13 my salon is going to start collecting new, unwrapped toys/gifts for children (aged infant to 12 years) for the Christmas holiday. We would like to know which organizations in our town are collecting toys, and how we can get in touch with them for the particulars?

The Salvation Army is always a good place to donate toys to, they do a lot at Christmas and they are located almost all over. Also there is Toys for Tots, I don't really know how to get hold of them, but I'm sure if you googled them for your area you would find something. Also there is an organization called HELPLINE, dial 211 and they should be able to give you ideas. Where I live they have kind of become a clearing house for all the charities that do Christmas help.
