Bronze Answer Medal for All Time! 242 Answers

A drawer of cords that are disorganized.Someone shared with me a number of years ago that their grandma used to use the empty toilet paper roll tubes to keep her cords tidy. Wow! Really? So I decided to try it.

Yay! It really made a difference! I can keep track of my small appliance cords and they aren't all tangled anymore and, best of all, it helps keep my drawers organized! Double wow!

A drawer with the cords neatly stored inside cardboard tubes.

Good idea! One could also easily write on each tube, labeling it with the name of the appliance to which it belongs.

I found that if my husband has an empty caulk tube, they are about the same diameter, can be cut to size with craft scissors, don't fall apart as easily as cardboard, and it's another way to recycle plastic! (And are not hard to clean out since the caulk gets pushed out in use.)
