Tools needed to make it fluff: big clean bowl, hand mixer, and spatula.

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Place coffee crystals, sugar, and hot water in large bowl to dissolve.
  2. instant coffee, sugar & water in bowl

  3. Start whipping the mixture with hand mixer on low, gradually increasing speed.
  4. whipping sugar, coffee & water

  5. Use your spatula to keep shifting the splatters on the side back to the middle where the beaters are. Tilt the bowl so the mixture starts growing in a higher mound, continuing to use the spatula to push the sides inward. At around the 4-5 minute mark, the coffee should be super puffy like whipped cream.

  9. Use a spoon to stack it super high and swirl it around for presentation.

  11. You'll be tempted to try the whip on its own, so do it! It's super sweet and super strong! It's best to stir it downward into your milk to even things out. Enjoy!

Looks delicious, does it work with artificial sweetners? Have you tried a bigger batch to freeze for 'ice cream'?

Here it is made with 2 packets of stevia (truvia) in lieu of sugar. It's very good, but a little less creamy :)

THANK YOU!! Let me know how it turns out for you-- definitely prefer the standard sugar version, but the sugar sub is totally wonderful, as well. :)

I started out making whipped coffee. And then I learned that I could make a Frappuccino better than Starbucks just by mixing the coffee crystals, hot (or cold) water and a sweetener 'til the crystals dissolve, and then blending that mixture with with milk and ice in my Bullet.
