Your cord may have gotten disconnected from the heating pad. Push it back in.

What brand electric blanket do you have?

The error code can vary depending on brand.

You may have to consult the original instructions that came with your blanket which most likely you no longer have so try to find the brand web site and ask for assistance.

The links given for help on Fixya.com are many times locked and answers are difficult to locate but here is one answer:

"From what you said I take it that you have dual controls. The Sunbeam people are not very helpful. First - Unplug your blanket from the wall outlet. 2. Look at your plug-in into your blanket. Make sure you have not reversed the plug. 3. Look for recessed pins. If you find one recessed, use a pair of needle-nose pliers and carefully pull out the recessed pin until it is even in length with the other pins. Reinsert your plug then plug the unit back in. If the error still occurs, you probably have a broken heater wire inside the blanket."

This answer may be of help but your brand may be different.

E2 indicates a common flaw or problem such as the connector not quite coupling up with the receiver

best be careful I have known people to set themselves on fire with faulty blankets

If E2 appears on the display screen, it means that the blanket temperature is too high. Check to see if the blanket has excessive folds and smooth out the blanket if necessary.

The blanket will reset automatically
