You can check for assistance with your local Salvation Army also Center City Community Corporation.

In addition, you could ask neighbors, friends, family, co-workers. Post on social media like Facebook. Check nextdoor or craigslist (Check under free or make a post)

Wider Circle if they have them.Also Salvation Army or Free cycle.You can also post an add that your needing a bed .

In a big city like DC I would honestly just go drive through city streets on the day before trash pickup day, or go on craigslist and look for CURB ALERT posts. washingtondc.craigslist.org/.../sss?query=curb+alert

6 out of 10 people are throwing out perfectly good furniture becuase they're moving and dont' want to deal with it - especially beds, mattresses, etc since neither the dump more the charity/salvage/thrift shops will accept them
