  8. Cover two parts with the white paper raffia and two parts with the blue raffia:
For the first blue part, use a piece of Scotch tape to secure the end of the raffia at the back of the wreath. Wrap the raffia tightly around the wreath and when reaching the end of the first blue section, secure the raffia at the back with Scotch tape again. Repeat once more with blue raffia, and then do the same with the white raffia.

  10. Make the flip-flops:
    a. Trace the flip-flops on the dark blue corrugated cardstock, and then trace a second pair on the blue and white striped cardstock. Cut out all four flip-flops.
    b. Glue the pair of blue and white flip-flops to the corrugated cardstock flip-flops ~ the corrugated part of the cardstock will be the soles of the flip-flops.
    c. Now make the straps of the flip-flops. Cut four short pieces of blue paper raffia. Starting with the first flip-flop, thread the needle with one piece of raffia and push the needle from below through A as indicated on the pattern. Make a small knot at the back of the flip-flop so that the strap will be secure. Push the needle from above through C as indicated on the pattern. Thread a second piece of raffia and push the needle first from below through B, again making a small knot at the back, and then from above through C. Make a small knot with the two raffia strings at the back of C ~ be careful not to pull the raffia tight, so as to create the effect of loose straps. Neatly cut off any loose ends. Repeat with the second flip-flop.
    d. Add small self-adhesive fabric flowers where the straps meet each other at C, and add small self-adhesive butterflies to the inside of the flip-flops.
