Free Cross Stitch Pattern for Tennessee Volunteers?

I am putting together a group of cross stitch patterns in a throw for a fund raiser for our junior league bowlers. I have some Alabama and Auburn teams from one I did a long time ago. We have many Tennessee Volunteers fans in our area too and I thought it would be fun to do one with this too. Anything with a logo would be great if anyone has anything or ideas.

Please it is for the kids. The funds raised will be used for their trip to Youth State Tournament in Mobile AL in March of 2019.

I have 2 suggestions:

1. See if you can find alumni pages for the schools on Facebook or Twitter and if they will let you post a WANTED message that you want logo patterns.

2. You can always call the schools and see if one of the alum has some (they can put a wanted message on their website or newsletter) OR if their store has any that they are willing to donate even better!

You won't know unless you ask!!

The contact for Auburn is www.auburn.edu/

University of Alabama is www.uab.edu/.../contact

University of Tenn is www.utk.edu/.../

Sadly, most vendors on Ebay, Etsy, Amazon, etc. will want to charge you...unless you find a generous soul or alum :)...I guess it couldn't hurt to ask if you found something you liked on one of those sites!

Good luck!! Hope you have a successful event!

Sadly my UT friend downsized an sold off all of her patterns! She suggested you can find a logo online and print it off on graph paper.

I have never tried it, but it sounds like it would work.

One of the best ways to make cross-stitch patters is on your own. You can do this:

  1. Find the image you want and download and save this on your computer.
  2. A simple program can convert this image to small squares. I use Excel to do this.
  3. You will need to load the image to Excel and tell the program to use the lines for the small cell over the top of the image.
  4. The lines will be added to the image and when you view this in print preview you can see them split up into small cells.
  5. Just print them out and put them in your book.

  7. If you want you can transfer these to a canvas.

if you ahve a budget here are some that can be bought www.artfire.com/.../cross_stitch
www.ebay.com/.../190967713589
www.etsy.com/.../tennessee_pattern
www.etsy.com/.../tennessee-volunteers-mascot-1-cross...

the good thing about buying a pattern is that fewer people will use them as opposed to all the free ones everyone will use
