Plug it into another outlet. If it works you have a bad outlet. If it doesnt, replace it with a secondhand grill.
Check the connection of the plug to the grill unit. Is it kinked or twisted? That could cause it to not have a full connect point.
If it does not work in any other outlet in the house, there's probably a cut connection in the wiring somewhere. I got mine at the thrift store for $6-- hopefully you can find one if it does not work.
