This link below contains information and pictures on the Black and Brown Widow which is even more poisonous. But happily, even as venomous as they are, they are the least aggressive of the poisonous spiders, unless they feel threatened.

The black widow is the most poisenous but you cann't get rid of them yourself. They can kill you so get an exterminator.

I put fresh spearmint in my closets and under furniture to make sure I do not have spiders. I do not know if it will help with black widows but nothing lost if it does not.

I had an outdoor storage unit that was full of spider webs and spiders and when I put the spearmint in the unit was clean I also do not have anymore spiders in the house. No more spiders for me.

Try chickens
They keep the bugs down if you can stand to have them around.
