Getting Rid of Grass in Rock Around Plants?

A new lawn was seeded and apparently some grass seed was sown in the landscaping rock around bushes and hostas. How do you get rid of the grass?

You can boil water or use vinegar.

You will have to take special care if you are trying to kill grass (or weeds) around any kind of plants as most liquid will go into the ground and may reach the roots of your plants.
Boiling water might be safe but I would hesitate to use any kind of vinegar as it is not a selective killer.
Here is a link to a site that gives a lot of information dealing with this subject. Hope some of this will help you.

Pull it up by hand. If you use anything else, it can also get to the hostas and kill them.

My mother uses diluted white vinegar.
