Getting Rid of Slugs?

On the side of my house I have a silver trail were slugs go up and down, up and down. This happens at night. I can't make out where they come from. They go gable end up to apex and down about 2 feet from ground. Thank you.

Put crushed egg shells where you see their path going up. This should take care of that area.

As well as the egg shells, bury a 1/4 full beer can, almost up to the top, in the ground...slugs love beer and the odor attracts them. They crawl in and drown. Replace it once a month. DON'T put the egg shells around it!

Buy some sea salt and sprinkle around that kills them dead. yes the Beer bath also is good. I have ducks no slugs or snails around my yard

OMG! I was horrified one damp evening when hand picking slugs in my new garden. I looked up to see the mobile home covered from ground to roof in small slugs. with a headlamp, I noticed the trails meaning this had been going on fairly long. I used "slug bait, dog hair, egg shells to no avail. the population decimated my plants laughing and singing the entire time. I am going to try ammonia 4/1 with water and spray entire garden and lawn.

I have question: I live in mobile home...are they hiding underneath home on other side of skirting? Beer works if slugs are small, but if eight inches, they get back out. also, is it common for slugs to come in purchased mulch? this is my first home and I love gardening, I was happy to read your letter.
