I just got my exam and glasses at America's Best. I wound up getting two pairs (one distance and one reading) but one wasn't covered by insurance. The second pair cost me about $85. They have a promotion where they include the eye exam if you buy glasses there.

You could also try Costco for price comparison. They always have great deals on everything so I imagine that eyeglasses are no exception. I would have gone there but they don't accept my insurance.

And my last suggestion is to see if a local college runs a clinic for student training. Pacific University has one nearby and friends report that they do an excellent job for affordable prices.

Good luck!
