What colour are your roots? Sometimes you need to use a lifting technique before you use black dye in order to avoid the blue or purple hues.
There should be a phone number or website on the package. I would ask them directly.
If you aren't pleased with the results, I would call the maker and ask for them to make it up to you with a refund or whatever would make you satisfied.
I do not dye my hair but I have helped my sister in law dye her hair. The package normally states to leave the dye in for 10 to 20 minutes and you are to check the results after 10 minutes.
Ive been a licensed hairdresser for 25 years and I tried using Argan oil 2N and it turned purple on two of my clients gray hair!!! I will never use it again
