EE means the power to the heating element is not on. This can happen if it is plugged into a surge strip and not directly the outlet. Unplug from the surger strip and the heating pad and wait 30 seconds so it resets itself.

Information:
"If you plug your heating pad into a SURGER STRIP, YOU WILL EVENTUALLY GET AN "EE" READING. Simply unplug the cord from the strip AND heating pad, wait 30 seconds, it resets itself and it's just fine."

"The EE Code is typically because it came Unplugged from the pad even just a little so you have to make sure the pad is completely plugged in then unplug it from the wall, wait a minute and plug it back in."

Code "EE" on the display indicates that a Safety function of your control has been activated.

The manufacturer's website www.cvs.com says:

"Use the EE Code is typically because it came Unplugged from the pad even just a little so you have to make sure the pad is completely plugged in then unplug it from the wall and plug it back in and then it works fine." www.cvs.com/.../cvs-health-series-700-extra-long...

If the control still shows the "EE", then it is control problem or warming product circuit problem. In this case call CVS Customer service.

I found many complaints about this error:
"I frequently have to unplug this heating pad and plug it back in because it pops up with the EE code, which is an error code for part of it has become unplugged." www.cvs.com/.../cvs-health-fabric-heating-pad-series...
"Displays EE error, and multiple attempts to reconnect the controller plug and outlet plug did nothing." www.cvs.com/.../cvs-health-fabric-heating-pad-series...

If this error appears frequently and your CVS heating pad is still under warranty, then it is better to try replacing it.

Looks like its a common issue. Many poor reviews because of that.

Try avoiding using a surfer strip when plugging your heating pad in.

Unplug the cord from the strip and heating pad. Says to wait 30 seconds, and try again.

If above does not work and you just purchased. I would return & look for another heating pad.
