Hi,
Walmart (maybe online too) carries Scabisil, 10% sulfur. This should kill mites. It is easier to go to the doctor and tell him you bought some old clothes and now have to deal with scabies. The doctor will give you pyrethrin ointment to put on twice per day and for everyone else in the house as well.

I avoid home remedies and encourage everyone to do so until you a have consulted with a doc, because of the possibility for infections and generally making the situation worse. There are so many DANGEROUS home remedies and old wives tales about what works...it is very scary. This is a matter of your heath and safety first!!
You may be able to get a free consultation if you have a doc you are established with and they have the online email system where you can ask a question. That can save you a copay.
If you do not have a doctor, it might be time to establish with one. There are free clinics in almost every city in the US. Look for one of those if you can't afford the care.
I know it can be expensive, but you are priceless!!!
