There are a lot of ideas out there, it just depends on how much time you have to make this float. Plus the money to invest in the material needed to create it.
- A lion standing up tall and fighting with a Patriot player.
- A lion with his foot on a Patriot football helmet.
- A lion standing in front of a bunch of food such as popcorn, or stuff you can by at the movies. With a slogan Eat them up.
- You could build a giant speaker and put a lion on top. Use the slogan - You can't touch us
- Create a football field with a goal post made out of PVC pipe. You can put the lions helmet in the center or even a football. Use the slogan - You can't beat us.
These are just a few ideas of what you can do with your homecoming float.

Simple is good :-) I suggest a giant paw, with patriot colored crepe paper streaming out from beneath it. We used to use chicken wire to mold the frames and stuffed-in colored napkins to finish it.

The size of the float and your budget will be the determining factors as to how elaborate your float can be.
- Since Lions will be your focal point perhaps it would be better to have several "Lions" in different poses all "stomping" the Patriots in different ways.
- Foot on head - socking - kicking butt - sitting on top
- Cheerleaders should have a place on your float doing what they do best - cheering.
- Maybe have a couple of Lions dancing alongside the float and getting the crowd to cheer along with the cheerleaders.
- There are always good "slogans" for planned future actions to your enemy.
- Maul the Patriots
- Scrap the Patriots
- Put the Hurt on the Patriots
- Exterminate the Patriots
- Eliminate the Patriots
- Filet the Patriots
If your budget is slim you may be able to enlist help making costumes but Lions can wear their uniforms and a Lion's head. Costumes are many times one of the biggest expenses.
