Homemade Nail Polish Remover Jar

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 433 Posts

I used a 4 ounce mason jar for this. You can use a small airtight container if you want.

Cut the sponge in half lengthwise. Take the two pieces of the sponge and wrap them around each other in a swirl fashion. Put the tightly rolled sponge in the jar.

Pour just enough nail polish remover to saturate the sponge. Insert finger in the center of the sponge and twist until polish is gone. Keep your cap on tight to prevent it from drying out. When it is done, just add more polish remover and re-use.

I made the same thing with an old foam hair roller. It already has the hole in the middle to put your finger in and it fits perfectly in an old film canister or pill bottle. Just add the polish remover as suggested. A few twists of your finger removes the polish beautifully.
