Homer Laughlin Tea Set?

A collection of decorative teacups in different colors. Is this a Homer Laughlin tea set? It belonged to my grandmother and I believe it was a wedding gift to her. She got married in 1929. I am clueless.

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything like them. I'm sure our experts will chime in soon but I think these bright colors are too modern to be 1929. They look like the 60s or 70s to me.

If you could take a picture of the bottom of the cup and saucer, it will help us identify them. It should say the manufacturer's name. Sometimes, it even has the name of the pattern.

You are saying 'tea set' so are there more pieces to your set? Maybe a tea pot and sugar & creamer? If so, we may be able to help if we had more pictures and especially pictures of any marks on the bottom of any piece.

I do not believe this type of china was made in the 20's but without further information identifying them will be difficult.
I'm hoping another member, PGHgirl will have some clues.
We'd love to help so please send more pictures.

I have been puzzling over this set since it was posted and can't find anything in any of my resources under Homer Laughlin.

I tried branching out but without a marking or a clear photo the pattern--I wasn't sure if it was a leaf or a feather so I was just focusing on the unusual colors, but that is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

There are Fiestaware (made by Laughlin) that match those colors, but they are primarily solid colors.

The colors do not look 1920s to me. They look 1950s or maybe 1970s retro to the 50s. You said you thought they were a wedding present in 1929--is there a box or other evidence to show that provenance? They could very well be--because they do have an art deco style to them--the shape of the handle and the sweep of the pattern--it is just the colors seem much too bright for typical 1920s dishes.

Are they marked on the bottom and if so, can you show the marking?

There is an amazing Homer Laughlin Facebook group that I belong to. They know everything...you could always pose it to them.

Their name is All Things Homer Laughlin China.

Maybe with more info, I can help, or if you get the answer from the Facebook group, post back! Thanks for sharing!

Homer Laughlin, along with other fine china, has drastically decreased in value in recent years.

You could try looking in eBay, filtering the "sold" items and see what they are worth today.

This is a unusual but pretty set, also rare to be Homer Laughlin. There are lots of colorful Homer Laughlin sets called Fiesta for sale online , and the asking price - www.ebay.com/.../133558831378?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt....
