Honey Ice Cream (Homemade)

Ingredients
  • 4 cups milk, divided
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 4 cups heavy cream

Directions

Heat 2 cups milk with honey and salt until honey is dissolved. Beat together eggs, remaining milk, vanilla, and cream.

Add honey mixture; cool. Pour into ice-cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions.

Ugh, raw eggs... Pouring raw eggs into hot milk will not pasteurize it.

Many people, even restaurants serve raw or undercooked eggs in dishes. If raw eggs are a concern to you, I would purchase pasturized eggs for this recipe.
