A brown chi pin puppy. I just got a pup who I believe is a Chi Pin. He weighs about 2.5 pounds and is 7 weeks old. How big do you think he will get?

These are really cute dogs! I do not believe they will get over 10-11 pounds.

I have had one of these in my family and everybody adored him.
Here is information from a Chi Pin web site:
These marvelous minis only weigh around 8-11 pounds and stand at a maximum of 10 inches when fully grown.
They are also a generally healthy breed with a life expectancy of 10-14 years.
My only concern was they seem more fragile than other small breeds and I always worried when small children were around. Their legs are very slim/tiny.
Another site shows about the same: 8-12 inches tall and an average of 5-11 pounds.

I have a 8 year old male Chi-pin since 6 weeks old. (Born 12-1-2013) He is now 20 pounds. He loves human food and treats!! However he is very active. When he was a puppy he liked going under my shirt and now as an adult he wants to always be under a blanket. They don't like to be cold.

Just some advice they are like road runners when they get to where they become basically independent. What I'm saying is if he/she ever gets loose good luck catching him/her. Took me 5 people one time to catch my male chi-pin lol.

Mine is 8 years old and weighs 20 pounds. Vet has never been concerned with his weight. Just some added info mine started having pain in hips kinda like arthritis which is common in this breed. I found Vet IQ Maxium Strenth Hip and Joint chews 3 times a week really keeps the pain away and makes them have puppy energy again.

It helps support cartilage, lubricate joints, and Mai tain muscles plus keeps your Vet bill down. My boy use to like them but now I have to put it in his mouth back towards throat and rub his throat to get him to swallow it. They are not that big but work great!! He loves to play tug a war and fetch or catch the ball.
