Huskee Supreme Won't Start?

I have a 26hp Briggs in my Huskee. It turns over, but won't start. I put new plugs in and a new safety relay switch, but there is still no spark. I have had the seat safety switch unhooked from years ago. I pulled it into garage running to fix the steering and I went to start it and it just turns over. I'm at a loss, any ideas?

It needs to get gas , air, and compression in order to ignite the engine. You have to have all 3 to get a proper engine start , also make sure the battery is good. These are the most important components to running your motor. make sure these things are checked and in working order. Only thing that would be left is the electrical system/malfunction , starter is ok, carburetor ?

Considering this is turning over but not starting means that you are getting the spark you need to the engine and the battery is good. The next step is to check the carburetor and the fuel lines. Make sure the fuel filter is not clogged and the hoses are passing the gas into the carburetor so the engine can turn over.

You can try and prime your carburetor to get the gas inside to see if this will allow you to turn over the engine. Considering the engine was running when you moved the mower to the garage the only problem now is getting enough gas to the carburetor to keep the engine running again.

Have you checked the battery? Spark plugs?

Here are other possibilities:

Good luck!

Hi,

Have you checked that the wires to the battery are not loose?

Have a wonderful evening!

Of course, everyone knows it could be a number of things that could cause this problem but it sure sounds like your battery is too weak to start your engine.

Be sure to check your battery connections as something could have came loose when you were driving the mower into the garage. Look to see if there are any other loose wires.

I would suggest you take your battery to one of your auto parts stores and ask them to check your mower battery and explain what is happening with your mower.
I feel sure that someone can help you resolve this problem.
