I'm looking for ideas for my church's year end function/Christmas party. It's for all ages young and old and we want to celebrate the day together. It will be summer time so anything related with swimming and water fun ideas will help.

If anyone has a pool you could have a pool party with a nice BBQ to celebrate the holidays together.
If you are close to the water and a person has a boat going skiing is a great way to pass the day with a nice BBQ and bonfire at the end of the night.
I love a snow man theme and I saw on Pinterest snow men made out of Styrofoam balls that looked like sand and they were wearing beachwear and sunglasses!!
That could be a great theme!!
There could even be a few melted ones (just the hat and scarf in a puddle!).
I have read that some people think the story of Frosty the Snowman is a bible analogy! Maybe you could incorporate that into the theme.

We always loved potlucks. if you can have the food indoors and some outdoor games it would be great. 3 legged races, egg tosses, musical chairs.
Blessings at the Beach would be a great theme. Have a picnic or barbecue as well.
