My husband's grandmother is 93 years old and gave me these two figurines. Apparently there were legit fights in the family over the years over who would get to keep them on their mantle (no one from my mother-in-law's generation and younger can fathom why, haha). She was hoping I could dig up some info on them (who made them, where were they made, value, etc). Given the amount of damage, I doubt they are worth anything, but I promised her I could at least find out general info on them.
The marks on the bottom look like a church steeple with 2780 underneath and the number 10 looks like it was scratched in the bottom by the potter.
My online searches have been futile. Please help!

I think I have found this, it is majolica pottery that was made in 1919 according to the Minton date code on the bottom of the piece. Here is a site to check your marking and I found this one there. etruscanmajolica.blogspot.com/

So yes, definitely Minton Majolica, but I'm not finding them in any of my searches. Any recommendations on experts or if this is even worth pursuing?

If you have found what you needed then please just ignore this message but if you're still looking for information I have a few suggestions:
First - I would not recommend trying or having any repairs made to these statues as this will only devalue this type of item.
Very special compounds were used when antique Minton Majolica items were made and it still cannot be duplicated today. Any repairs should be done by a buyer - should you decide to sell.
There is a large number of Minton Majolica collectors who scour the internet quite often and they love to help identify pieces that owners have and cannot identify.
I'm listing some sites that are popular but some take a little looking around the site to know just how to post their questions.
Reddit is an excellent site but can be confusing - however - you can contact them and someone will help you select the right group to use.
This site is for an appraisal which can be very valuable if you find these pieces are worth good money.
