The photo is blurry but that pattern looks like a common carpet beetle. How big is it?

Stink bugs are about the size of a quarter and where I am they are a solid green, gray, or brown with mottled shells.

Carpet beetles are about 1\4th that size and are usually two tone, most brown or black and yellow or tan.

Either way, vacuum them up, dispose of the bag outside and do a good cleaning and they should not come back. Look for openings around window and doors and caulk up to stop the influx.

This is called a Marmorated Stink Bug -it earned it's name for releasing a odor when being crushed. Here is a link that will give you more info about this smelly friend.

people are saying it's a stink bug, but to me it doesn't completely look like a stinkbug - stinkbugs have a more trapezoidical type body and are more flat and don't have that much coloring

the photo is hard to tell though. Does it do anything? Fly? Bite?

This looks like a standard carpet beetle. The image is very blury and not so easy to tell for sure. I do not believe it is a stink bug at all.
