My dog lady has a lump with a scab like thing on top of it. She ran away awhile back and got into some foxtails, and I'm thinking maybe that is where it is? But I just wanted to see others opinions before I make vet app!

When any type of bump appears on your pet it's usually advisable to watch it for a few days and if it looks infected or there is no improvement then you should have your vet look at it just to be sure of what is causing the bump and best way to remove it.
If you have to wait a few days for an appointment you can always mix Epsom Salt in warm water (hot to dissolve but not too hot on pet - test heat on your wrist) and dip a clean cloth in mix and lay over the sore/bump. Try not to reuse the cloth but use several clean cloths and keep the bump covered for several minutes.
A lot of people are now using telecommunication for none emergency vet visits and your vet may be doing this also.
If your vet has not signed on for this there are other online vets that do. The cost is usually $35 - $50 and they can see your pet and describe meds if necessary and also tell you if your pet needs to see their vet.

This could be anything from ringworm to a staph infection to fungus or allergy. Best to take doggo to the doctor ASAP! Hopefully something simple with an inexpensive cure. Please post back what they say!

I think you need to make an appointment with your vet because it looks like your dog has ringworm. Here are some of the symptoms of ringworm to help you. www.akc.org/
This can be very contagious and you need to get it looked at right away. Before trying to treat this yourself with over the counter products I would make an appointment with your vet to make sure this is actually ringworm.
