Hello! I have a big challenge for everyone. This is my (very well loved) rabbit circa 1975 that my mom got from a hospital gift shop. I know he looks like he is 100 years old! He use to have a tongue and the tag fell out years ago. Would anyone be able to identify him?

The rabbit sort of looks like the rabbits that R Dakin use to make back then. They were usually called stuffed or plush animals or easter animals. The style of the rabbit is similar to some that are in a lot better condition than yours that people are selling online. I do believe this rabbit came in a few different colors. I think it came in the grey rabbit you have here and also a brown rabbit. It is very hard to tell because of the condition of your rabbit.
He may be an animal alley brand. How tall is he? Is gray and white his original color? What is he stuffed with?

I volunteered in a large hospital gift shop years ago and animals (of all kinds) were our biggest selling items.
If I'm remembering correctly, most of the hospital gift shops belonged to a national organization and most of the items carried in the shops were purchased through them and they purchased items in large quantities and most of the items were not 'brand' name items.
It's possible your rabbit was not a 'brand' name but copied after one.
There are several very good groups online that help people find plush items like this. They usually have very good results so you might want to check them out. You'll need to join the groups and post your pictures and any information on age that is available - also size of your bunny.

It's a great time to use social media. You can post this furry friend on most of the sites online ,along with pictures and information . So many are home now. Someone knows and owns this same furry friend , or may also have more knowledge of the maker/brand.
What a beautiful rabbit~! I can see why you loved him! I don't know who made the bunny. I asked my computer's Cortana, and she could not find any matches to this picture. I think it is beautiful when someone keeps a precious, keepsake, such as this!

Wow. I have spent numerous hours searching for my sisters pink puppy. Your bunny looks exactly like him. And her puppy was also bought at a hospital gift shop in 1978. She was blown away when I showed her the picture of your bunny and how similar he looks. Unfortunately, her puppy has had many makeovers and no longer looks the way he did when we were children.
Hi! I am the OP and still have been searching here and there for more information about my rabbit. So happy to hear that we may be on same track! And that your sister got her puppy from a childrens hospital as well. I got mine in Los Angeles Childrens Hospital? in 1975 I think. I was getting on tonsils taken out lol If I find ANY INFO I will definately post it here :)
