Identifying an Antique Drop Leaf Table?

Identifying an Antique Drop Leaf Table? - carved leg detailI would like to know if anyone knows how old this table is and possibly who designed/manufactured it please? I rescued this as the legs were just lovely and deserved better than a skip. I planned to restore or upcycle it, but have run out of time and space now. There are no antique dealers or appraisers or the like near me so that is not an option I can pursue, unfortunately. Thank you in advance for any insight you may be able to share.

From your one picture it appears your table is not in very good condition and to be usable it would HAVE to be restored/refurbished and (to me) that places it in 'yard sale' value.

You do not show a picture of the table itself so we have no way to even start looking for information. Someone may be able to provide some information if you post pictures of the table - maybe closed and open as well as full picture of table showing table and legs. A picture of the underside would also show how the table is made (for age). Any ideas on type of wood?

Measurements are always helpful.
Furniture is usually too heavy to ship so wherever you post it for sale it will still probably have to be shown as 'local pick up only' so how much do you think someone in your area would pay for this table - as is?

Usually drop leaf tables are popular because they are compact and can fit in smaller homes/apartments but your table will most likely only attract someone who may have the same idea that you originally had; so, have you given any thought as to how much you would pay right now?

Sorry I could not offer any help with your question but maybe another member will be able to provide some useful information.

I understand that you can not get help from a local shop in your area. However, there are online dealers who do help to identify tables such as this if you can't find any marks on the underside of this table. You may need to register on some of these websites, post images, and see what they can do to help you. There are some who do it for free and others will charge you a fee.

I am not sure which one is best and I would like to suggest finding one of the online antique dealers that is closer to your area. I am not sure what you are planning to do with the table because it sounds like you want to try and sell it off because you no longer have time to restore or upcycle it.

Can you please post photos of the piece so I can see it all--full front, and side view (in a good light would help too, please).

I would love to help, but need more info.

Please let me know approximate measurements (height and open how long and wide). Also where are you located?

Looking forward to helping!
