This is Cara, she has featured on ThriftyFun a few times before. She died 3 days ago. She was just 8 years old. She was at the vets to get 3 teeth pulled and her little heart stopped beating. All the blood tests had been taken prior to the anaesthetic that proved that she was 100% healthy. The shock is overwhelming, that she should die this way.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved Cara. I know how much it hurts to lose such a wonderful friend and precious family member. I hope that the good memories of Cara will give you comfort.
So sorry for your loss but it sounds like poor Cara was over dosed by the person who administered the anesthesia. I worked in the anesthesiology dept of a major Chicago Hospital and also bred Great Danes. I learned that when the heart gives out during surgery, it's because of human error.
I too had a dog overdosed while getting an ear crop-the family who adopted him asked me what to do. I told them to get the dog asap & take it to my vet for an autopsy. Unfortunately, they called their vet and told him to hold the body they were going to get an autopsy. Of course he held the body, outside in 100 degree weather. By the time the dog got to my vet all evidence of the anesthesia was destroyed.
Sorry if I upset you but whatever you do don't go back to that vet.

My heart goes out to you! I have two Poms and they are my heart.They will be ten this year and I hate to even think of something happening to them. It would be devestating to me.
