Information About Glassware?

Glassware with a spiral twisted stem.I want to sell my sets of glasses. From cherry, champagne, whisky, red and white wine. Bought in 1991 John Lewis. Does anyone know the name for them and where I can sell them? I have six of each.

These glasses are made by Cristal d'Arques, France.
The glasses are called Fleury "Taille Epi", made of crystal glass.
The prices: $ 44.91-64.87 (for 6 glasses).

If no one here knows, replacements.com can identify it and give you a figure they will pay you.

The company is still around, so perhaps they can help you with the name. I can't get a clear view of the pattern so I hesitate to guess on it. www.johnlewis.com/.../contact-us

Glassware like this is best sold at in person venues--like a consignment store or resale shop. They are so fragile that will allow you to sell without the hassle of shipping OR people coming to your home.

If you don't mind people coming to your house, you could sell on a Facebook group (like we have local flea market/sale/want/trade groups) to list and sell--where they pick up. I just did a contactless porch pick up Saturday for an item. I was happy, she was happy! So it was a good experience.

Value will be determined by what they are selling for where you area. So do a quick check to see if others are selling the same pieces in shops or on Facebook or eBay.

What did you pay for them new? Usually for items like this, the resale value is about 1/8 of original retail.

Just double check after they give you the pattern name that is is not a super rare or special pattern that may be not "mass produced". Sometimes companies do that...and it will be worth more than original retail because there were so few.

The company has been around for many years but it appears their glass products are not high priced so these were probably sold at department stores and may have been favorites for wedding gifts and such.

The patterns listed for sale are of all designs but I did not see any with stemware like yours.
Contact John Lewis and see if they can provide information.

I would suggest listing them in separate sets of 6 glasses/same design/style. As to value; looks like most sellers are asking about $30-$40 dollars for 4-6 glasses. You may want to start higher and see how it goes.
I do not believe very much in this field will be fast sellers but sales are unpredictable so you just never know.
I would also suggest listing on sites other than eBay.

Sorry about no information from the company.
We may be able to offer more help if we could see the pattern clearly. Can you try taking several pictures with first a white cloth inside the glass and then a dark cloth inside as one may show the pattern more clearly.

If you can post the pictures someone may recolonize the pattern.
