The one on offer up is not art deco like your lovely piece, so unfortunately you cannot compare values.

I am always shocked to be reminded that Montgomery Wards (which when I was young was a low end store that sold low end furniture and clothing, sold such amazing pieces in the 1920s-1940s, when I peg your piece to be from.

it is gorgeous and the mirror is amazing!!

In the right market you may fetch up to $1000 for you piece.

Wards catalogs are online and if I had more time, I would find the exact year of your piece, but sadly I don't have the hunting time at the moment. If that changes, I will post back.

Not sure where you are located, but I would take it to a reputable auction house (a real auction not someone that sells on eBay and find out the value in your area).

Post back how your sale goes! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing and unique piece!

Beautiful pieces of antique/vintage furniture you are showing.
This is a really nice vanity.
It is surprising the Montgomery Ward sold such nice pieces but then I've found articles like the following that shows such brands as L.&J.G. Stickley sold furniture to Montgomery Ward and Sears and these companies placed their own labels on the pieces.

This just means that it may take an appraiser to really identify who made these pieces.

Here is a link that has pictures of some styles but I have been unable to find anything that looks like your piece.

Here is a vintage vanity that sold for $139 but no date provided.
If you look closely this vanity has many flaws but still in good shape. Most items like this are sold as 'pick up only' so your area will sometimes dictate the final value.

Most likely you will find some of the same information provided on several items so maybe you'll find the information you are looking for.

I believe you really need to post to several antique/vintage forums so you can get some 'experts' opinions.
If you try them you'll most likely love using them from now on.

Your vanity's label says Montgomery Ward & Co.
"Montgomery Ward & Co., American e-commerce company that offers such general merchandise as furniture, tools, home appliances, and clothing. It was founded in Chicago in August 1872 by Aaron Montgomery Ward as a mail-order business. Headquarters are in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. " www.britannica.com/.../Montgomery-Ward-and-Co
The chain declared bankruptcy in 2001, although it has since resurfaced as an online-only retailer.
