Laundry Drying Line in the Garage - view of lines against garage wall We have a clothesline outdoors (much more sturdy with cement involved), but this is our line drying set up for our garage. It holds up well and was very inexpensive and easy to make! We line dry to save on electricity from the dryer.

- The brackets cost less than $5 for the pair.
- The rope and nails we already had at home.

Total Time: 15-20 minutes

Supplies:

2 shelf brackets
waterproof rope
4 nails

Steps:

You can find the shelf brackets at your local hardware store for less than $2-3 each. Find the side of the garage wall where you want to hang your clothes and using a wood stud finder mark where you can nail the brackets in place.
Nail in your brackets in and then using a waterproof sturdy rope, figure out how many lines you want your line dryer to have.
We have 3 lines, but this is for temporary use only since we live in California and majority of the time we have sunshine and line dry outdoors. If you plan to use this indoor drying line, I would recommend a thicker rope. I just roped the brackets as pictured below - it was a lot easier to tie when there was a set hole though!

Note: If you could, do drill holes in the metal bracelet for easier rope tying.
