I am about to buy a full blooded Pit Bull puppy, but I have my doubts about the puppy's mom. The mom is supposedly a brindle red nose not registered and the dad is a APB registered blue nose Pit.
Here is a picture of the puppy I'm about to buy and another pic of the mom with its puppies. What do you think? Does the mom look like a full red nose Pit? My cousin has had many different types of full Pits and he says she's not a full Pit so that put me in doubt.

Normally, if a dog is full blooded the owner of the dog has papers. From the look of the mother I have a lot of doubts that she is full blooded. The major problem now is there are many backyard breeders who try and pass their dogs off as something they aren't. If you want to have a full blooded dog, then you need to contact a breeder who can show you the blood line papers of both parents and give you the paperwork so you can register your dog too.
This is true. We have a purebred Chow Chow that we adopted as a puppy. Part of our adoption agreement was that she was fixed as soon as she was old enough, to prevent a "puppy mill" situation. She doesn't have papers so is not provably a purebred, but she looks just like the chows in the dog shows, purple tongue and all.
Dogs that are not purebred are also healthier in general. My dog Honey had to have multiple eye surgeries to fix her entropian, where the eyelashes curl inward and irritate or even damage the eyes. Other breeds have hip dysplasia issues or other genetic issues. So your dog might be better off to have a mix of different breeds in her past.
I certainly wouldn't pay a premium for a dog without papers. There are several pit bull rescue organizations that can find you a similar dog that needs a good home.
You could sign a contract saying that you are going to have a DNA test done, and that your money will be refunded if the dog is not purebred
So far they look very pit bull but you'll have to give them several more months to grow into their muscles to be able to tell without a DNA test
The mom dog looks like a mix to me, but she has a high amount of pit in her. The puppies look strong and healthy. It should be a good dog, but maybe not for a premium price.
She doesn't look like a full pit to me , I wish I could post a pic of my red nose pit. The mama in your pic het face doesn't look at all like my doggie.
That is definitely not a red nosed Mom, she does look pit mix tho. I have a full blooded red nosed male Sampson he is a great dog. They are an amazing breed and those pups look very healthy, is just sign a legal certified agreement that you'll have the dog tested and if it's not a full blooded pit then recoup your money for the dog and the test.
