I am trying to figure out how to do a Jerry Lee Lewis wedding but can't think of anything. Could someone please give me some ideas?

You can decorate with records, mr potato head, slinky's, hoola hoops, paddle balls. give your guests personalized yo-yo's with your wedding date. Hire a 50's style band. use part of your reception hall as a twister corner with 2 or 3 twister games set up. Set up a few tv's with black and white movies playing, and footage of Jerry Lee Lewis playing live (ie, Steve Allen show, Honeymooner's etc).
Call your local vintage car club and see if one or more members would like to attend, to give the parking area the 'mood'. see how many people you can fit into one car. use 'cheesy' h'or dourves like rolled up bologna with an olive, crackers with pimento loaf etc. Serve Alexanders, old fashioned, and sloe gin fizz.
Many things may seem like a 50's style wedding theme but he was at the top of his game in 1957. Pictures of Bogart (died that year) Eisenhower and Nixon pictures. Sputnik 1 and who could forget the '57 Chevy.
Wish you the best of luck with your marriage and explaining to the kids attending that a 45 was a record and not a weapon.
Have off-duty police officers as ushers. Love, Susan
Have cheese balls and put chilis in them. Call them "Great Balls Of Fire, Jello served on a fancy plate "Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On. And of course wine. The drink called "Drinking Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee.
I found this info online somewheres and thought you could use some of it since it was the 50's.
Bridesmaids w/little neck sashes/bandannas tied cute to the side. You could find one of those lace mini-veils that go just over the eyes in red or black for that pop of color you're looking for and the other color could be utilized in shoe color or hair accessory (maybe a flower even) Polka dot crinaline ( the puffy under dress material).
-Photobooth (either old school county fair kind, or for better quality but less nostalgia a manned digital booth. They cram big groups of people into them for great pics! Dress up supplies would be awesome to go along with the photo booth so your guests could get in on the fun and would function as your guest book as you could have them (or a designated person) scrapbook the pics into an album and sign w/lil notes from them. Supplies could include 50's sunglasses (girls winged & guys goofy taped ones), wigs, juke box, bandannas, coke bottles, old school microphone, maybe even some fake application tattoos!
-You should have a soda fountain or something fun setup to go with the cake! Have it be an interactive station w/root beer floats, make your own Sunday, maybe a little bit of cake? But you could save on cake $ and just get a small cake top for the pics and the wedding party while everyone else gets the dessert smorgasbord : )
-It'd be cool to serve mini hamburger hords and fun finger food like that! Pigs in a blanket dare I say?
-The DJ would have to be willing to be in on the theme too; outfit and all. A band would be even cooler yet... Also maybe even a couple swing dance instructors
-A cute vintage cake topper would be amazing.
-A 'sweet' idea for centerpieces would be ice cream dishes (footed sundae bowls, banana split dishes etc) and fill them with deep red roses, add a spoon, some glitter sprinkles, place on top of an old record and make sure to have cool table numbers too (coke bottles w/number sticking out?)
