Type up the names of the vegetables/plants you're growing and print it out
Laminate
Cut in strips
Stick into the soil.

You can even use a Sharpie (ex: star) and write on it too if you wish.

Good idea. You can also try wrapping the label with Gorilla tape or other strong clear tape. They should last for about two years. To make it strong enough to stay in the ground you could tape a few inexpensive wooden skewers to the back.

Doesn't water then seep though the sides where you have cut?
