Purchase t-shirt yarn or cut t-shirt into stripes (three inches long and 1 inch wide). Cut canvas to the desired rug size. Turn all four sides of the canvas into the first row, use safety pins to secure the fold.
Use the latchhook to weave the t-shirt fabric into the canvas. Weave through the holes every other stitch. Weave every other row.
Once the rows are complete, trim the t-shirt stripes to the desired length. This helps the rug look more uniform.
