Make Expensive Laundry Last Longer

I love the smell of my clothes when they've been washed with Tide or Gain laundry detergent. In my home, we do at least two loads a day so it would get pretty expensive if I didn't do this simple trick. I always buy one of the "better laundry detergents" (eg. Gain) and mix it together with a big less expensive laundry detergent. I have been doing this for over ten years now and it works for both the powder detergent as well as the liquid.

You just need a container large enough to mix them both together in and store it. I also do this with my fabric softner too. My laundry always smells so great and I love that I am stretching my dollars!

There are lots of things that one can use this technique on too. I use it on dry cat food and even when cooking macaroni and cheese! Just mix one of the cheaper in with one of the better brands and there you have it!

Does anyone else do this with something? If so, I would love to hear about it! Thanks for letting me share, =0)
