Making Apple Oatmeal Bars

Cook Time: 35 minutes

Total Time: 45 minutes

Yield: 9 bars

Ingredients:

• 1 cup oatmeal
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 2 1/2 cup chopped apples
• 1/2 cup sugar

Steps:

1. Grease 8 x 8 inch pan.
2. Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Pat half of the mixture into the pan.
3. Layer on apples and sugar.

 
4. Crumble remaining mixture on top of the apples.

 
5. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees F.
6. Cool on wire rack thoroughly before cutting into bars.
