Making Foil Spiders

Foil Spiders - two spiders next to each otherAfter reading a story about spiders, the kids and their friends wanted to make a spider craft. They all had a blast playing with their spider friends! This would be a fun craft for Halloween as well.

Note: Spiders have 8 legs, but we didn't have enough pipe cleaners to divide among them so we had to use 6 for each spider.

Total Time: 15 minutes

Supplies:

  • foil
  • google eyes
  • pipe cleaners
  • scissors
  • hot glue
Foil Spiders - supplies
 

Steps:

  1. Roll foil in a ball.
  2. Foil Spiders - make a foil ball
     
  3. Cut pipe cleaners and fold into a "L" shape to resemble the spider legs.
  4. Foil Spiders - cut the pipe cleaners into pieces and fold into a "L" shape
     
  5. With adult supervision, use hot glue to secure legs onto foil ball (spider's body).
  6. Foil Spiders - glue on legs

  7. With adult supervision, hot glue google eyes on.
  8. Foil Spiders - hot glue on the eyes
     
    Foil Spiders - eyes in place
     
  9. Your spiders are ready for play.
  10. Foil Spiders - four spiders
