Making a Crochet Medallion Bookmark

Total Time: Less than 10 minutes

Supplies:

• "I" crochet hook
• tiny amounts worsted weight yarn
• scissors
• embroidery needle for weaving in ends.

Steps:

1. Ch 5, join to the first ch with a slip stitch to make a ring.

 
2. Ch 5, sc in ring.

 
3. Ch 5, sc in ring.

 
4. Repeat last step 2 more times.
5. Ch 5, join in the first ch of the round with a slip stitch. Right here, see?

6. This is what you have now.

 
7. Slip stitch in the first ch 5 space, ch 6.

 
8. Sc in the next ch 5 space.

 
9. Ch 6 and sc in the next ch 5 space.

 
10. Repeat last step in each ch around.
11. On your last ch 6, join with a slip stitch to your first ch 6 space of this round.

12. Tightly ch 44 You may wish to chain less or more, depending on the height of your book.

 
13. Fasten off, leaving a 1" - 2" tail, however long you like. Make a simple overhand knot to secure the end.

 
14. Unravel your tail to make a cute frilly end.

 
15. Weave in your ends.
