Mum Won't Let Me Shave?

I am a hairy girl and I've noticed that I am the only girl in my grade that is hairy. I have asked my mum to let me shave, or even just use creams. When I ask her to shave she always tells me that I shouldn't because the hair will get darker. So, I ask about creams, and she says that she will buy me some things, but she never does. She always says "another time," or something like that. I want to shave so I look pretty, but she never lets me. How should I tell her that I want to shave?

It is a myth that if you shave your hair will be darker. There are lot of alternatives to shaving, but if you're underage you should speak to your mom. You could tell her your insecurities and have her help you during this time. Or, maybe ask her when you're about to go to the store so you guys can select a product appropriate for you. Good luck.

If you shave your hair wont get darker it will get thicker. This means that your hair would feel even more thicker as you keep shaving

She may be concerned that you will cut yourself. Suggest a depilatory and see what she says

In life the rule of thumb is honesty is the best answer. You should sit your mum down when everything is quiet and there is no one else around and explain to her why you want to remove your unwanted hair.

If she knows how strongly you feel about it and how important it is to you, you may be able to change her mind on the subject.

It is an old wives tail that you would grow darker hair.
Just be honest with about how you feel.

That's so true, one can shave or cut hair all they want as it doesn't change our DNA's program that's already been established of what color our hair is going to be on any part of our body, nor add extra follicles for extra thicker hair. All of that is "pre-programed in each single follicle" in the beginning of our development.

The truth is that the hair won't grow back thicker nor dark if you shave. You need to stand up to your mum and maybe ask when she started shaving.

I'm skinny IDC that much tho
but my legs are rly long and they're skinny too. So I'm really tall
and SO hairy
And I really don't like it-

like it's NOT puberty I've always had hairy legs and I'm truly afraid to wear shorts.
Two of my close friends shave, even though one of them has only recently started puberty.

Since I know my mom won't let me razor shave, I discovered the cream kind and am planning to ask about it.
Like when in bed or private time with ur mom, bring up the topic, just like your personal mom talks. My mom is pretty good with those talks.
