Organize Food Pantry With Craft Drawers

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 131 Posts

Craft drawers being used to organize a pantry.Several years ago, I purchased a craft cart with tons of drawers, for additional storage. The cart itself started being too flimsy to use, but the drawers were in perfect condition. I decided I'd try to use them to organize my pantry, and I love the outcome! I labeled each drawer using my label maker and tried to sporadically place the different colors on the shelves. I recently went shopping, so my pantry is overstocked right now. Even so, this new organization has made finding things so much easier!

I discovered that the plastic drawers from my plastic wheeled storage fit my wooden 'cubbies'. (Hold up better that the fabric bins you can buy to fit)

I also immediately identified with the craft cart--too flimsy issue. Haven't figured out a way yet to keep it sturdy & square. Until then - we're stuck with what we've got.

What I'd love to know is ... What brand/model labeler do you have !!?? And what font name and size did you use? I'd love to get one for myself !

Hi. You're not writing to me, but I thought I'd let you know that I recently bought a Dymo Letrotag. It works well but it's hard to work where the symbols are, how to write on two lines etc. Make sure you get some instructions from somewhere because I don't recall them being in the pack.

Question not directed to me, but I use my computer and printer rather than a label maker. I can make up a lot of labels on one sheet of paper. Then I can cut to size and attach in many ways, tape, ties, etc.

If I want it to seem 'laminated', I use clear mailing tape. If I really get creative, I can use colored paper, or card stock, and decorative cut scissors.
