Total Time: 30 minutes

Yield: 1

Supplies:

Pill Bottle Sewing Kit - supplies

Steps:

  1. Choose the kinds of pins, needles, etc. that you want to add. Add them as well as the buttons.
  2. Pill Bottle Sewing Kit - place buttons and other sewing supplies in the bottle

  3. With your hook, make your loop. Chain 2 and make 13 more half doubles in the first chain. Join and break off. Make another just like it. It's really important to make two.
  4. Pill Bottle Sewing Kit - crochet two double crochet circles, glue one in the recessed part of the cap

  5. Glue the first one in the "recessed" part of the cap. This is important for the container to work as a "kid safe" container. Then, glue the other one on top. You need this depth for the pins/needles to stick in secure enough to stay in when the cap is inverted.
  6. Pill Bottle Sewing Kit - glue the other one to the top to create the thickness needed

  7. Wrap your thread around the Velcro. Now that you have it all in there, you can invert the cap and everything is inside for you to use, but able to be thrown into the car, purse, or RV and nothing can come out. You can even wrap it in contact paper if you want. N-JOY!!

Great idea! I would wrap several colors of thread around a piece of cardboard instead. That way the thread does not have to go to waste if you need to use the Velcro. Just a piece of cardboard the length of the pill bottle with white, black, blue, gray. I also sew more than I use safety pins, so I would probably not put so many safety pins inside. Maybe a small lighter to cut the thread instead.
