Pinto Bean Brownies

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 221 Posts

A pinto bean brownie with ice cream. Our neighbor has given me so many pinto beans that I needed to put them to good use. I remember having a recipe for pinto bean brownies and had never tried them, so decided to give it a shot. I'm guessing these are a bit healthier than the normal brownie! They are moist and tasty and don't taste like beans at all!

I want to try this. Do you drain the beans?

I've made black bean brownies several times, and my husband says they're the best brownies ever. I use a brownie mix and one can of black beans, drained, and then add water to that.

Yes, I guess they add moisture. I was trying to figure out a way to use up lots of pinto beans I've been given so didn't use canned beans. Instead, I cooked them in the Instapot.
