Well, they are aluminum and I would call a scrap metal dealer and get the price of aluminum first and then ask he would be interested in buying the tabs. You can find scrap metal dealers in the yellow pages under scrap metals.

I don't know but I collect the tabs & send them to MacDonalds. The money they get for the tabs goes towards Children's Hospital & provide assistance to parents to be with the ill children!

We take ours directly to Ronald McDonald House, which is where the donations end up going. It is an amazing organization to work with.

My husband and I run a monthly Family Game Night at the Dallas house and it is a truly blessed experience.

What is the price of can tabs per kilogram?

Best Answer

In our area the best price is around $0.60 per pound, but that is if it is pure aluminum. If the rivet is steel, the price goes down drastically.

I expect it would take a lot of pull tabs to equal a pound. Pop cans are usually a lot easier to collect, and get to a pound faster.

the rivet stays in the can. How can the price decrease?? Do you look at the end result of breaking the tab off at all?
