Bronze Feedback Medal for All Time! 182 Feedbacks

A television remote control covered in plastic wrap. Our television remote control circuit board was constantly building up oil from our hands and would not control our television. My husband cleaned the circuit board and I wrapped the remote control in Saran Wrap and secured it with scotch tape on the back. It has worked properly for weeks.

I put mine in a plastic bag gotten from the grocery produce section. When it gets dirty, I change it.

What did your husband clean the remote with? My stop button on my DVD player will not work.

I would try isopropyl alcohol and some q-tips. That is the best cleaner I have found for buttons and electronics. If you can get 90 or 99%, that would be best as it will evaporate and leave no residue.
