There are several kinds of ink but most often it is ball-point ink that is the problem. No matter what method you try, please remember that some of the same solutions that will remove the ink stain may/can also remove some coloring that you do not want removed.

Here are some suggestions that others have tried but be careful and only try one type at a time. Wait for results before trying something different.

Step 1
Moisten cotton swabs with window cleaner and spot clean the ink.

Step 2
Make a paste of baking soda and water and gently rub ink spots with an old toothbrush.

Step 3
Apply rubbing alcohol or acetone nail polish remover to a rag if the stain persists. Gently rub or use a Q-tip.

Step 4
Use bug spray as an alternative cleaning method. Spray the bug spray on a Q-tip and gently rub on ink spots. Wipe the area with damp cloth and soapy water, and then with plain water.

Step 5
Spray hairspray onto a rag or Q-tip first to apply it to the ink stain. Allow the hairspray to penetrate the stain for about a minute. Do not let it sit long enough for the hairspray to dry. Reapply

Step 6
Remove the ink with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Dampen and wring out the Magic Eraser, scrub the stain lightly and wipe clean with a wet rag.Take extreme caution: cleaning erasers also remove the paint from a dolls face, so avoid painted areas such as eyes, mouth and eyebrows.

Once the stain is removed, clean the surface with soap and water to remove any residue from the cleaning products.

Try using hairspray first. Try benzoyl peroxide acne treatment cream to any areas with ink. Be careful to avoid the eyebrows.

Then lay in the sun for four days and wipe off.
