Try Nature's Miracle Orange-Oxy Power Stain and Odor Remover from pet stores or Amazon. For preventative measures, throw blankets on the couch and constantly wash them.
Try cleaning with any of the suggestions but actually putting the cushions outside in the sunlight may help also. (not boiling hot sunshine). Almost all of the pet stores, Walmart, Target stores have a big array of products to choose from and you may have to consider what type of fabric your sofa is made of before actually making a purchase. Read the instructions and make sure it will not damage your material.
I use Febreeze on my couch for doggie odors. I have a micro fiber couch and spray heavily. It dries fast and smells so good.
