How do I remove a set-in red soda stain from cream/white colored carpet? Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

Call a reputable professional carpet cleaner. I did, and he was able to remove not only long-ago spilled oil, but red candle wax as well. (03/21/2008)

You could also try brake cleaner. It is very smelly, and you should test for color-fast-nest somewhere unseen first. Spray on the brake cleaner, then blot with a cloth. (03/23/2008)

Try Club Soda. Just pour a little on the stain and blot it with tissues or paper towels. Do not rub! Continue in this manner until the stain is removed. I know this works for red wine stains. Good Luck! (03/24/2008)

I like to "clean green" as much as possible, but I have to say that I have yet to find a stain on carpet or clothing that SPOT SHOT didn't just love! I swear I've seen many stains just disappear in front of my eyes. The neighbor kids thought I was a magician. Now, maybe this will be the one it won't attack, but I've removed red Kool-Aid with it. I use Scrubbing Bubbles on all my carpet and upholstery. It took a 5 yr old red something out of my very light blue carpeting. I got this hint from two different car detailers. Lots of luck. (03/24/2008)
