Removing a Stain on a Car's Finish?

Removing a Stain on a Car's Finish - very small yellow stainThere is a yellow stain on my new car as a result of cleaning off a dark color small dropping.

It's not a bird dropping. The dropping was a very very tiny dot and dark in color. I suspect it's a dropping from a plant like trees or some part of a flower.

When I washed my car yesterday, after cleaning that small dot, it left behind a yellow stain like the picture.

Can anyone please help?

I use a clay bar to remove residue stains. Then wax my car after.

You can always go to your local auto store and ask for their recommendation.

thank you. I am going to try the clay bar. I hope it works - as I have a protective coating on the car now so I am surprised that it left a stain. I guess whatever it is may be very acidic.

Car detailers say that sap can get into the paint of a car if you do not have a good coat of wax on your car. It appears they use a clay bar to remove the stain and then apply a good coat of wax to the car's finish.

Ask the dealer what they recommend since the car is new. When my last car was new
, I did some diy cleaning after getting bird poop on the roof and I made a mess of it. I used Comet and a sponge and scratched up the paint but good.

It cost more to have them fix my mistake than the stuff they would have sold me to remove it right the first time. Sometimes it pays not to be penny wise! Post back with what they recommend.

NO way!!! The same exact thing is happening to my brand new white car. I just got it and every week I come across a new stain. It is exactly like you said. It is a dark brown dropping. It is hardened on the car usually by the time I see it. I rubbed it off the first time and thought that is why it left the stain. I tried scratching it off with my nail the next time.

Did the same thing - same stain. I even found it still wet - brand new dropping and it left a stain. Whatever it is it stains QUICKLY. I am anxious to hear and read of any suggested solutions. Please let me know if you find one. I am in South Florida. Wonder if it it something here. Someone mentioned bee droppings.
